Nestled in the scenic Franschhoek Valley, our tennis club is not only a haven for tennis lovers but also a vibrant community hub where sport meets personal growth. With four well-maintained hard courts and breathtaking views of the Cape Winelands mountains, we offer an ideal setting for players of all levels to enjoy the game. Our social tennis sessions bring together friendly locals and international visitors, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, especially during the busy summer months.
Franschhoek tennis club has a history that dates back to the 1920’s and gives our club a rich sense of tradition and character – something that truly sets it apart. The combination of tennis, beautiful mountain views, and the warm community atmosphere is a real draw for both locals and tourists.
Our vision is of becoming an inclusive landmark that aligns perfectly with the vibrant and welcoming culture of Franschhoek. The annual social tennis afternoons with local wines and a braai are a highlight of the year, offering a wonderful way to connect with fellow members and visitors.
A true gem of our club is the Love All program, an inspiring initiative dedicated to local youth.
Under the guidance of Coach Shaun from Bounz Academy and a team of committed mentors, the program empowers young students from Franschhoek High School to develop their tennis skills while also building crucial life skills. The progress made by these children, both on and off the court, has been nothing short of extraordinary. Their journeys are a testament to the power of sport to shape character, instill discipline, and foster confidence.
We invite friends of the club to get involved with Love All, whether through volunteerism, mentorship, or supporting the program financially. This project has had a profound impact on the lives of these young students and continues to offer incredible potential for growth, both for the children and the wider community. Join us in nurturing talent and creating opportunities for the next generation of tennis stars!
We are deeply committed to preserving the unique fynbos ecosystem that surrounds our Club and grows nowhere else in the world. We encourage this awareness by promoting recycling, picking up litter and watering the indigenous trees. We are also lucky to have abundant bird life on our property and have been lucky to see Fish eagles, black shouldered kites, Cape robins, malachite sunbirds, red winged starlings and many more indigenous species.
Come and see for yourself – our warm welcome and beautiful surroundings will leave a lasting impression on any visitor.
